Canal Cottage A is a ground-floor studio in a 1953 plantation building it shares with Canal B, remodeled in 2021. The Wailua River is in view from the queen bed and from the kitchenette. Bamboo accents and a vaulted ceiling give the room a bright, open feel. Window A/C cools it on warm afternoons, and a cross-breeze comes through with the windows open.
No lanai or patio. Window A/C, not split.
Three kayaks (two doubles, one single), four bikes, two paddleboards, snorkel sets, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, mats, umbrellas, beach toys and life jackets, first come, first served. A double kayak alone rents for $95–150 a day in Kapaa. Two gas grills in the common garden. Two free guest laundry rooms, detergent included.

Wailua Beach is one block away. The Lydgate Park lagoon is a 15-minute walk. Kayaks launch onto the Wailua River from the property.
